Motorola Provides Norwegian Emergency Health Service Control Room Solution
Frequentis Agrees to Acquire Parts of L3Harris’ ATM Segment
Vertel, Australia’s largest privately owned telecommunications carrier, met compliance obligations including a declaration of conformity and RCM labelling from the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) for its push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) devices, the Telo TE390 and Telo M5.
Vertel is the first Australian company to obtain compliance documentation from an accredited testing organization. Vertel PoC integrates LMR features with the capability of an enhanced voice, data and video messaging app and a choice of mobile networks, all supported by mobile device management. The third device in the suite is the Telo 590, which already has type approval in Australia.
“As the importer, it is critical for dealers selling our PoC solution to end customers, and for end customers as well, to be confident that the devices supplied by Vertel are certified to meet their due diligence requirements,” said Andrew Findlay, executive director, Vertel. “It is both a legal requirement for organizations to use devices with type approval in Australia, as well as an ethical one to ensure that workforce safety is upheld.”
