The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) announced Amazon Web Services was elected to its board of directors.

AWS is dedicated to building programs and services suitable for use by the justice and public-safety community. Whether in law enforcement, emergency management and response, corrections or courts, AWS has the capability and resources to address this community's unique IT needs. AWS and its network of innovative partners provide data-driven policing solutions to solve mission-critical issues.

“Each iCERT board member offers unique technology capabilities to advance public safety, just like the game-changer that is AWS,” said Kim Robert Scovill, the iCERT’s executive director. “Establishing, maintaining and growing relationships among key technology company leaders — the members of iCERT — is an important element of iCERT’s vision. We look forward to AWS’s leadership in our mission to advocate for more new funding and introduction of the newest and best technologies in the public-safety sector for first responders and the public.”
