Mission Critical Partners (MCP), a public-safety consulting firm, announced two new appointments to its senior leadership team. Darrin Reilly was named chief operating officer (COO), reporting to Kevin Murray, chairman and CEO.

Reilly joined MCP in 2018 as senior vice president of corporate development, focusing on organic and inorganic growth initiatives. In this role, Reilly was the executive lead for MCP’s 2018 acquisition of Athena. He has led initiatives of increasing responsibility for MCP’s two business groups, consulting and lifecycle management services.

Succeeding Reilly will be Jason Scharfspitz, who was named senior vice president of corporate development and product management. Scharfspitz will report to Reilly.

Before joining MCP, Reilly was the regional vice president of sales for NICE Systems and COO for TriTech Software Systems, among other companies. He also served as the chairman of the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) for three years.

Scharfspitz joined MCP from Panasonic, where he led mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investments and post-merger integration. Prior to Panasonic, Scharfspitz spent 10 years with IPC Systems, a financial technology firm.
