Visitors to CCW 2019 enjoyed a three-day schedule of expert-led master classes and high-level conference sessions including presentations from a variety of industry thought leaders. Updates were given from the three most advanced national public-safety broadband projects: the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) in the United States, South Korea’s SafeNet and the Emergency Services Network (ESN) in the United Kingdom. Other conference sessions included Motorola Solutions’ Senior Vice President of Technology Paul Steinberg discussing artificial intelligence.
Hosted by Malaysia’s national critical communications operator Sapura, Deputy Secretary General at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Tan Chuan Ou opened the show.
More than 70 manufacturers showcased their latest products in the exhibition. Motorola, Leonardo, Hytera and Huawei were platinum sponsors of the event.
The International Critical Communications Awards (ICCAs), took place the first night. The full list of winners can be found here.
“Critical Communications World is the largest and most influential event of its kind in the sector, a reputation which has been built over the course of its 20-year-plus history,” said TCCA Chief Executive Tony Gray. “This year has once again seen CCW bring together the global critical communications community to share best practice and new ideas for the benefit of all.
“On behalf of TCCA, I wish to offer profound thanks to the Malaysian government and the country’s critical communications industry, both for their presence and the incredibly warm welcome they have afforded to everyone connected with our organization. My thanks also to all visitors, exhibitors, speakers and all supporters of CCW for working together to make the event such a success.”
CCW 2020 will be held in Madrid from 17 – 19 June.
