The FCC reminded all emergency alert system (EAS) participants and the public that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the FCC, will conduct a nationwide test of the EAS Aug. 7, with a backup date of Aug. 21. All EAS participants must file form two in the EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) by Aug. 7 and ETRS form three by Sept. 23.

Additional information, including instructional videos and answers to frequently asked questions about entering data into the ETRS forms, can be found here.

More information on the nationwide EAS is here.
