PMRExpo Readies Strong Program, Large Exhibition

The 19th PMRExpo takes place on 26 – 28 November in Cologne, Germany. Herbert Reul, minister of the interior of North Rhine-Westphalia, is the patron of the event. Spread across an area of 4,800 square meters, more than 230 international exhibitors will present their products and current innovations in the professional mobile radio (PMR) sector within the show.

More than 4,300 visitors from across the globe are expected at PMRExpo 2019.

In the vehicles section, visitors can experience state-of-the-art service vehicles. For the first time, interactive themed tables and discussion round tables with more than 30 experts will be offered on International Conference on Critical Information Infrastructures Security (CRITIS) critical infrastructure protection (CIP) strategy, broadband communications, internet of life saving things (IoLST) and cloud solutions.

At the interactive themed tables, moderators will discuss current experiences and insights on broadband communications. Discussions rounds will be offered in both German and English. The IoLST theme deals with IoT communications solutions that make life in the city and in traffic more secure. An interactive panel discussion will address the subject of cloud solutions. Experts will discuss the opportunities and risks of technology in interaction with the audience. The block about CIP will include presentations and a panel discussion.

A summit on command-and-control centers will offer the full range of the latest trends and innovations in control centers with numerous expert presentations. Forum topics include BOS, energy industry, mission critical, Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) and indoor radio systems.

In 2019, the energy industry symposium is directed at representatives of municipal utilities and energy suppliers. Participants will examine issues surrounding security-critical communications from a sector perspective. The conference will focus this year in particular on 5G applications, protection against blackouts, the 450 MHz frequency range and LoRaWAN technology.
