Mutualink App Receives FirstNet Listed Certification

The Mutualink Edge IWS app received a FirstNet Listed designation in the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) App Catalog. When first responders on FirstNet using the app need to send and receive incident video and bridge radio communications from their cellular device, they won’t compete with the public for bandwidth.

“The need for first responders to connect with their team and other public-safety partners increases with the complexity of an incident,” said Joe Mazzarella, executive vice president at Mutualink. “Incident management software that bridges devices and systems will improve communications for first responders and their private security peers. Mutualink Edge IWS is a proven interoperability platform that enables seamless voice, streaming video, data and text communications within or between agencies and private security. The platform includes visual mapping of incident participants.”

“Only highly secure, high-quality, public-safety relevant applications are added to the FirstNet App Catalog,” said Bob Sloan, chief operating officer, FirstNet program at AT&T. “And we’re pleased that Mutualink Edge IWS is now Listed and available to FirstNet subscribers. Mutualink Edge IWS will bring public safety additional capabilities to enhance situational awareness with seamless voice and video sharing.”
