Norwegian Utility Deploys Sepura Terminals on Nødnett
Tuesday, November 05, 2019 | Comments

Wireless Communications, a Sepura partner, supplied Gudbrandsdal Energy Nett (GE Nett) with next-generation portable terminals, to deliver communications advances over the previous analog radio solution.

As part of the Gudbrandsdal Energy Group, GE Nett owns and operates the electricity grid in a number of municipalities. With a network area of around 3,700 square kilometers serving 20,000 customers across valleys and mountainous areas, a robust and reliable communications solution is imperative to operate safely and efficiently.

GE Nett joined Nødnett, Norway’s emergency service network, allowing the company to take advantage of the advanced features available on the TETRA platform, complemented by Sepura’s terminals.
