The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8 committees released calls for interest for two Project 25 (P25) and LMR documents.

The TR-8.10 Engineering Committee on Trunking and Conventional Control issued a call for interest for document American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/TIA-102.AABC-E-1 initially titled Trunking Control Channel Messages – Addendum 1.

The main scope of this addendum proposes a more flexible use of the abbreviated format of the status update request over-the-air (OTA) message. The stakeholders may include but are not limited to P25 manufacturers and users.

In addition, TIA TR-8.18 Engineering Committee on Wireless Systems Compatibility – Interference and Coverage issued a call for interest for document TSB-88.2-F, initially titled Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2: Propagation and Noise.

The document addresses propagation and noise issues within the context of defining and advancing scientifically sound methodologies for addressing technology compatibility. The stakeholders may include but are not limited to private LMR, P25, Land Mobile Communications Council (LMCC) and the National Coordination Committee (NCC).
