Thursday, January 16, 2020 | Comments

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) selected Commdex to provide much-needed improvements for the CBP to enhance its LMR, solar power and backhaul transport radio capabilities within the Big Bend/Marfa sector. The CBP uses this system for communications by the border patrol agents during their surveillance missions to ensure safe and effective operation.

Commdex is providing all LMR equipment for the coverage enhancement in the Marfa Sector, as well as the IP microwave radios and networking equipment needed for connectivity. Commdex is also responsible for designing and providing a solar power system for this equipment. The work is underway and is slated to be completed by spring 2020.
