Federated Wireless announced a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) connectivity-as-a-service offering that lets U.S. enterprises buy and deploy private 4G and 5G networks through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This end-to-end managed service provided by Federated Wireless includes discovery, planning, design, build, operation and support, enabling enterprises to reap the benefits of 5G with minimum risk and capital expenditure, a statement said.

The managed service offering is beneficial to a wide range of use cases, including internet of things (IoT) industrial automation, critical communications and security applications, and manufacturing environments supporting logistics and operations applications.

Enterprises can order the service with one click, with Federated Wireless delivering and managing the network and facilitating endpoint management. The company said a five-nines service level agreement with cloud scale, control and low cost are included.

“Private, carrier-grade 5G network offerings have historically required a great deal of carrier wireless technology, large numbers of components and vendors, complex processes for integration with other networks and significant capital expenditures,” said Iyad Tarazi, CEO of Federated Wireless. “Working closely with Microsoft Azure, and soon with our other strategic partners, we are able to offer enterprises an industry-first, end-to-end managed service that eliminates complexity and accelerates private network deployment. Enterprise customers are well familiar with cloud marketplaces, and can now directly leverage our extensive partner program and application ecosystem for an end-to-end private wireless service.”

Enterprises can benefit from accelerated CBRS-enabled private wireless network deployment with high-speed 4G/5G connectivity and strong security at minimum risk and capital expenditure.
