Rave Sees Double-Digit Growth in 2020
Motorola Solutions cancelled its Channel Partner Expo (CPE), which was scheduled to take place March 15 – 18 in Orlando, Florida, because of the “widespread impact of the coronavirus.” JVCKENWOOD USA cancelled its participation at IWCE 2020, including its Dealer Day activities and exhibit participation.
“While CPE is an important opportunity to align on growth priorities for the year ahead, the safety and well-being of our employees, partners and suppliers is our top priority,” said an email from John Rosati, Motorola Solutions vice president, North America Channels and Avtec. “Other companies, including Facebook, Cisco and Goldman Sachs, have taken similar precautions by limiting attendees or canceling events.”
Motorola plans to share some of the conference content via webinars, email and other methods, the email said.
IWCE is scheduled to take place March 31 – April 2 in Las Vegas.
“This decision was due to the escalated concern and uncertainty of the COVID-19 Coronavirus,” a letter from Mark Jasin, JVCKENWOOD USA executive vice president, communications sector. “IWCE and our dealer events are an important opportunity for us to meet face to face, share market strategies and present new products and offerings; however, the health and safety of our employees and our dealer and industry partners is our top priority.”
“JVCKENWOOD gave us notice early yesterday and said they would be announcing it today,” said an email from IWCE Show Director Stephanie McCall. “As you can imagine, it is a moving target, and our folks are doing a lot of due diligence right now. We are updating our website as we get information from our corporate headquarters.”
