The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) canceled the Public Safety Stakeholder Meeting scheduled for June in San Diego, and the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International pushed its Nexus event back a year.
The stakeholder meeting is organized by the Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR) program and is canceled with refunds available. PSCR will look to find an alternative format for the meeting, NIST said.
APCO’s Nexus event, originally scheduled May 21 – 22 in Washington, D.C., was rescheduled to May 18 – 19, 2021. The location will remain the same. APCO’s Public Safety Communications Leadership in Policy Awards Dinner was also rescheduled to May 18, 2021, in the same location.
