FCC Delays CBRS Auction Until July
Thursday, March 26, 2020 | Comments

The FCC pushed back the start of the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) Auction 105 until July 23 and postponed indefinitely Auction 106 given the COVID-19 pandemic.

“But we remain committed to holding the 3.5 GHz auction this summer and look forward to beginning this important mid-band auction in July,” said FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.

For Auction 105, involving the auction of priority access licenses for the 3.55 – 3.65 GHz band, the short-form application filing window will now open April 23 and close May 7. Upfront payments will be due June 19. Bidding will begin July 23.

Auction 106 is the auction of construction permits in the FM broadcast service that was scheduled to begin April 28.
