Lowenstein Elected to NPSTC Foundation Board
Thursday, May 21, 2020 | Comments

Tim Lowenstein was elected to the board of the National Public-Safety Telecommunications Council (NPSTC) Foundation board.

NPSTC, a federation of public-safety communications organizations, formed a separate not-for-profit foundation to potentially fund the federation’s work earlier this year. The NPSTC Foundation board is a separate corporate board that oversees the foundation, and it operates independently from NPSTC.

Lowenstein has a lifelong career in public service. He spent 21 years as an elected official working as supervisor/commissioner in Buffalo County, Nebraska, modernizing county government including the creation of Nebraska's advanced emergency operations center. Lowenstein also built the area's leading paging system with 186 locations.

Lowenstein was a Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC) member and former vice chairman of SAFECOM. He has worked as a consultant, board member and volunteer on a variety of groups and committees for the FCC, the National Geospatial Advisory Committee and the Nebraska State Records Board.

NPSTC Foundation announced the original board members in April.
