T-Mobile Resolves June 15 Network Issues

T-Mobile USA said it resolved the technical issues that affected its network June 15.

Starting just after noon ET and continuing throughout the day, T-Mobile experienced a voice and text issue that intermittently impacted customers in markets across the U.S. T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert said it was an IP traffic-related issue that created significant capacity issues in the network core throughout the day.

Press reports said the problems also affected subscribers of other carriers, including AT&T and Verizon, who tried to contact T-Mobile subscribers. "Our network is operating normally, but it’s possible some customers are unable to reach people on other carriers’ networks," AT&T said on Twitter.

T-Mobile said the issues were fully resolved around 1 a.m. ET June 16.
