Carbyne was awarded a U.S patent for converting 9-1-1 calls to live video.

After three years of deploying live video streaming to emergency call centers around the world, Carbyne was awarded patent No. 10,686, 618 B2 for the ability to connect a caller and an emergency call center via live video with no app requirement. The use of live video provides unprecedented instant situational awareness to call-takers and first responders.

Carbyne's platform can automatically retrieve the caller’s phone number from the call center telephone system. Once retrieved, the call-taker at the emergency center can send a text via the Carbyne platform, which contains a video activation link to the caller. By clicking the link, the caller permits access to the mobile device's camera, which then establishes a live video connection between the caller and the emergency call center.
