FCC Qualifies 271 Applicants for CBRS Auction

The FCC qualified 271 entities to participate in the 3.5 GHz auction of Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) priority access licenses (PALs). Seventy-seven applications did not qualify to participate in the auction, set to begin July 23.

Several critical infrastructure industries (CII) and mobile radio dealer entities are included on the list of qualified bidders. Chevron, Southern California Edison Co., Illinois Electric Cooperative, Harland 2-Way and Lattamus Holding are all on the list of potential bidders. Companies owned by AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile are also qualified.
