PSCR Offers More Public-Safety Funding for Past Recipients

Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR) announced a new funding opportunity for innovators in public-safety focused communications technology.

The Follow-on Funding for Technical and Business Assistance and Demonstration Projects with Public Safety Agencies award (TABA) is aimed at entities previously awarded a grant, cooperative agreement, Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) award, prize challenge or sub-award by a federal agency.

Through this funding opportunity, PSCR will support innovators with public-safety focused communications technology who seek to advance their research or prototypes towards commercialization. Applicants can propose rapid prototype advancement through needed technical and business assistance or a demonstration project with a partnering public-safety agency to provide additional testing and research.

PSCR anticipates funding the individual projects within the following per project range: $5,000-$25,000 for rapid prototype advancement through needed technical and business assistance and $50,000-$200,000 for a demonstration project with a partner public-safety agency.

PSCR is accepting applications on a rolling basis, and eligible parties may apply until March 2022. The full notice is here.
