The three standards are Public Safety Telecommunicator Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) Program (APCO Candidate ANS 1.119.1-20XX), Key Performance Indicators for Public Safety Communications Personnel (APCO Candidate ANS 1.118.1-20XX) and Best Practices for the Use of Social Media in Public Safety Communications (APCO Candidate ANS 1.112.2-20XX).
“APCO is a premier public-safety communications standards-setting body,” said Tracey Hilburn, president of APCO International. “The public review and comment phase ensures compliance with the American National Standards Institute and provides individuals the opportunity for their position to be considered.”
The public may review and comment on the candidate standards through September 14. All three standards can be found here.
