The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solution (ATIS) announced the election of seven Class C directors, as well as the membership committee chair.

The ATIS Board of Directors brings together C-level executives from leading information communications technology (ICT) companies to set the organization's strategic, technical and operational direction.

The elections took place at the recent ATIS board meeting and meeting of ATIS members, which were held virtually. ATIS elected Sridhar Ramachandran, senior vice president (SVP) and chief technology officer (CTO), Somos, as a new Class C director. Six incumbent Class C Directors were elected to a new two-year term, starting January 1. These include Chris Drake, CTO, iconectiv, who currently chairs ATIS' Technology and Operations Council. The others are: Joe Dechant, senior director for solutions engagement and product architecture, TNS; Kent Hellebust, president, safety and security technologies division, Commscope; Ganesh Pattabiraman president and CEO, NextNav; and Todd Landry, corporate vice president (VP), product and market strategy, JMA.

Further, ATIS re-elected John Shelnutt, VP of global sales, Blue Danube, as membership committee chair. The membership committee is a board of directors' committee.

"Most recently, among its many priorities, our board is leading initiatives that will advance North American mobile technology leadership in 6G and beyond over the next decade," said ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller. "Its work ensures industry alignment on critical priorities for the future. We look forward to the continued contributions of our newly-elected Board members."
