The city of Worcester, Massachusetts, chose Federal Engineering to provide consulting services for the acquisition of CAD and records management systems (RMS).

“We are pleased to have Federal Engineering on our team as we begin this important project,” said Joshua Martunas, Worcester Fire Department Project Manager for the city. “FE demonstrated they have the resources, experience and qualifications to provide the consulting services we need to assist with our CAD/RMS system replacement. FE will work with us so that the products selected can integrate with each other as well as with existing systems that are core to the basic business of the city including, but not limited to, ESRI GIS software and the newly developed master address repository, as well as any other systems that require integration.”

Federal Engineering will develop technical and business requirements for the new CAD and RMS solutions to replace the city’s existing systems. The firm will perform a full requirements study which will be used to procure and replace the city’s aging systems. The firm will also provide a system design, develop a requirements matrix, perform a gap analysis, work with the city public-safety team in writing and finalizing the CAD and RMS request for proposals (RFP), participate in vendor demonstrations, work with the city team to select a vendor or vendors, and work with the city to finalize contracts.
