V-COMM, a telecommunications engineering firm, hired John Lemmon as an expert in public-safety radio systems.

“V-COMM has always presented themselves with great competency and professionalism, so joining their team was a natural fit for me,” said Lemmon.

Lemmon retired from the state of California as a senior telecommunications engineer after 38 years of service. He has a wide range of experience, including radio system design, communications vaults, tower antenna system design, government procurement and bidding processes, telecommunications equipment specifications, radio coverage prediction studies and FCC licensing rules and regulations.

Lemmon is the director of the West District for the National Regional Planning Council (NRPC), the chair of FCC Region 6 700 and National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) 800 MHz Regional Planning committees, and is the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International’s local frequency advisor for Northern California.

“We’ve worked with John many times at nationwide frequency planning meetings, which is why we are so happy to add him to our team of experts,” said David Stern, Vice President of V-COMM.
