The National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) announced Jimmy Miller, John Paul (JP) Jones and Kevin Dougherty were re-elected to serve on the association’s executive committee for the 2021-2022 term.

Miller, president and CEO of MILLERCO in Gulfport, Mississippi, was re-elected to serve as the chairman of the board of directors. Miller has served on the NATE board for ten years and also currently participates as a member of the association’s legislative and regulatory committee and financial investment committee. Miller, coming off an active second year as chairman, played an instrumental role in guiding the association’s rebranding efforts and managing the organization’s growth while simultaneously navigating the challenges brought forth by a global pandemic.

Jones, president of Tower and Turbine Technologies in Cedar Park, Texas, was re-elected to serve as vice chairman of the board. Jones has served on the NATE board for seven years, and also currently serves as the chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) relations committee, as a member of the legislative and regulatory committee and is active on the unmanned aerial system (UAS) committee. Jones played a leading role in getting the recently signed NATE-OSHA-FCC Strategic National Partnership across the finish line.

Dougherty, president of Millennia Contracting in New Castle, Delaware, was re-elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the board. Dougherty has been a member of the NATE board for five years and has fulfilled a variety of other leadership roles during his tenure with NATE, including service on the financial investment committee, OSHA relations committee, STAR Initiative ad-hoc committee and workforce development committee. Dougherty is also providing board oversight to the NATE feature-length documentary film project that is currently under production.

“I am humbled and excited to serve another term as NATE Chairman and work with the dedicated professionals on the board of directors that I am privileged to call colleagues and friends,” said Jimmy Miller. “This continuity of leadership is vital as NATE’s board of directors, staff and committees continue to work diligently on behalf of the membership to raise the bar on the association’s workforce development, safety, legislative, regulatory, membership benefit and strategic planning/growth initiatives. The sky is the limit for NATE.”

NATE also recently honored departing Board member Mike Young, formerly of VIKOR and currently with ANCO Underground, for his service to the organization.
