As of February 17, the strong winter storm affecting Texas and Oklahoma had led to 147 total outages for communications networks, according to information from the FCC.

Those outages affected wireless service for 23,208 users in Oklahoma and 279,585 users in Texas. Additionally, four public-safety answering points (PSAPs) were affected by the outages.

Winter Storm Uri has swept across the southeastern United States, leaving behind snow and freezing temperatures that have led to commercial power outages and left millions without power or heat.
