Tuesday, May 18, 2021 | Comments

Legislators in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate introduced resolutions recognizing National Public-Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW).

The resolutions were introduced by Sens. Richard Burr and Amy Kolbuchar and Reps. Norma Torres, Brian Fitzpatrick, Anna Eshoo and Bobby Rush. The resolutions support the goals and ideals of NPSTW, honor and recognize the important and life-saving contributions of public-safety telecommunications professionals in the U.S., and encourage the people of the U.S. to remember the value of the work performed by public-safety telecommunications professionals.

The U.S. House resolution has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, and the Senate Resolution has been referred to the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs.
