The updates include intricate procedural corrections, formatting updates, copy edits, clarifications and notifications which include a temporary suspension of Inter-RF Subsystem (ISSI)/Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) conformance testing requirements. This means P25 ISSI/CSSI equipment assessed to have successfully completed P25 CAP ISSI/CSSI Interoperability testing will be approved to appear on the DHS Grant Eligible equipment list. The P25 CAP program will require both conformance and interoperability testing to be successfully completed in the future.
The CAP also released the “ISSI/CSSI Interoperability Test Requirements CAB Consolidated Comment-Resolution Matrix (6-24-2021).” The CAB revision was finalized after a 30-day public comment and P25 subject matter expert (SME) vendor comment period. The document includes all comments received, as well as a description of the resolution of each item.
The DHS P25 CAP team is now working to get the documents posted on its website. The documents are also available by request from P25CAP@hq.dhs.gov. P25 test practitioners may request versions which indicate tracking for technical updates made since last release.
