Monday, July 12, 2021 | Comments

Airbus completed the installation of its secure TETRA communications technology for Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu’s second International airport and one of the five biggest international airports in China with more than 50 million passengers in 2019.

Since the end of June, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport now benefits from an Airbus TETRA radio communications system including TB3 base stations, and is seamlessly interconnected with Chengdu’s Shuangliu International Airport, which has been using Airbus TETRA solutions since 2013.

The 800 MHz radio communications interconnection between both airports’ TETRA communications systems will allow smoother collaboration between airport staff from both airports and safer and seamless logistics, and ensure the safety of all passengers, visitors, and employees in both premises.
