Vendors from around the world introduced new products during this year’s Critical Communications World (CCW) event in Madrid, Spain.

Motorola Solutions demonstrated its ecosystem of integrated mission-critical solutions. The M500 in-car video system, enabled by artificial intelligence (AI), brings capabilities to public-safety vehicles to enhance awareness and safety while building trust and transparency. It features new backseat passenger analytics which automatically start the in-car camera recording as soon as an individual enters the back of a police car. The H5A rugged pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera combines high-resolution imaging, 360-degree views and up to 36-times zoom with an extremely robust design to perform reliably in the harshest environments. The camera’s wide dynamic range captures critical details in very bright and very dark areas, and optional infrared and white light illuminators provide ideal brightness in low-light scenes.

The new DIMETRA TETRA infrastructure solutions include the DIMETRA X Core Edge Resilience feature that enhances system reliability and resilience by ensuring dispatchers can communicate with users at a local site even if the link to the main control site is lost and the new DIMETRA X Core Deployable solution that offers flexible deployment options to cover a wide range of use cases including disaster relief operations.

Teltronic introduced the MCBS, a TETRA outdoor base station that, through the use of software defined radio (SDR) techniques, provides up to four carriers in a compact unit, offering a high level of performance in a single lightweight and compact device, with up to 40 watts of RF power.

The company also introduced the RTP-800, a new-generation of on-board equipment that integrates TETRA, LTE and Wi-Fi for voice and data communications in a single rack.

Hytera Communications introduced the PDM680 rugged mission-critical services (MCS) radio, which is Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) compliant.

The PDM680 is purpose-built and equipped with reliable mission-critical push to talk (MCPTT), mission-critical video (MCVideo) and mission-critical data (MCData) services to support those working in the most challenging conditions. The radio's IP68 rating and Mil-Std 810H certification ensure it will continue to operate reliably in extreme environments.

Meanwhile, Sepura launched its first mission-critical LTE solution. The SCU3 broadband vehicle device has been designed for use in vehicles and/or fixed office locations and supports mission-critical push to talk (MCPTT), mission-critical video (MCVideo) and mission-critical data (MCData).

Built on the Android operating system, the device provides compatibility with a wide range of applications, which have been designed to run on existing Android smartphones and tablets. The device features an optional TETRA modem, enabling narrowband voice and data services, whilst also supporting Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, providing connections to a range of accessories and ancillary systems. Paired with Sepura’s Mobile Device Management (SDM) solution, the SCU3 broadband vehicle device is a complete communications solution for critical communications users.

CrossCall’s CORE range of products are intended to provide durable mobility solutions for professionals. The range provides protection for lone workers through integrated sensors such as a gyroscope and accelerometer and provide support for push-to-talk (PTT) communications. The products also provide support of private mobile radio (PMR).

The CORE-M5 ensures a smooth and optimal experience in both professional and personal environments and can also be used as a walkie-talkie with the CROSSCALL X-TALK application for instantaneous and simultaneous communication with multiple people.

The CORE-S4 is a hybrid a touch-tone phone and a smartphone that integrates the Kaïos operating system that allows access to the most applications such as WhatsApp.
