Bittium decided to participate in the University of Oulu's ongoing fundraising campaign with a donation of EUR 50,000.

“The University of Oulu is an important partner for Bittium in terms of securing the competence and know-how we need and the vitality of the northern region. A strong research ecosystem is an important part of developing our long-term technological competence,” said Bittium CEO Hannu Huttunen.

Bittium and the University of Oulu have been working closely together since the company's foundation. Today's cooperation is related to 5G and 6G radio technologies and the development of future wireless services. Bittium's operations and product development in areas such as information security and medical technology are also central to the research at the University of Oulu.

"Bittium Corporation is an excellent example of a successful global company with history and roots in Oulu's expertise and a strong connection to the operations of the University of Oulu," said Jouko Niinimäki, principal of the university.
