FCC Announces Deadlines for Comments on Petitions to Reconsider 9-1-1 Fee Diversion Rules

The FCC announced deadlines for comments and oppositions to petitions of reconsideration several Colorado telephone entities filed in the FCC’s proceeding to limit 9-1-1 fee diversion.

Comments on the petitions are due January 6 and reply comments are due January 18. The petitions, filed by the Boulder Regional Emergency Telephone Service Authority (BRETSA) and the City of Aurora 911 ask the FCC to reconsider several aspects of its rules to prevent 9-1-1 fee diversion.
