The event will feature three days of in-depth conference sessions and Focus Forum sessions, delivered by critical communications thought leaders from across the globe. The theme this year is “Evolving the Ecosystem,” with multiple topic streams including international perspectives and collaboration’, the transition to broadband and 5G, cybersecurity and evolving technologies.
Florian Tursky, Austrian State Secretary for digitization and broadband, will officially open the event on 21 June. Tursky will give a speech and take part in the opening ceremony. Kirsia Pimiä, permanent secretary, Ministry of Interior, Finland, will give the opening keynote address on 22 June, on the topic what will the future look like and what can we do about it now.
Pimiä has served as the permanent secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, which is the ministry for internal security and migration, since 1 February 2020. As the permanent secretary, she acts as the chairperson of the National Cooperation Group of Internal Security and as a vice chairperson of the Advisory Board of National Defense Education.
Pimiä is a member of the committee for European Union (EU) Affairs, the Security Committee of Finland, the Arctic Advisory Board dealing with Finland’s strategy for the Arctic Region, the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development, the National Emergency Supply Council, the Coordination Group of National Intelligence and Situational Picture, the Advisory Board of Finland Customs and the Advisory Body on Civil Service Ethics.
