Vendors introduced a variety of new products during Critical Communications World (CCW) 2022.

Motorola Solutions launched a variety of new solutions at the show including the MXP700 portable and MXM700 mobile radios. The MXP7000 is an all-in-one mission-critical communications portable device that unifies TETRA and 4G LTE voice and data communications to enhance situational awareness, safety and productivity for the military and public safety. With its LTE connectivity, the versatile MXM7000 can turn any vehicle into a mobile broadband hotspot and extend connectivity by tethering a range of communications devices together.

Critical Connect is a cloud-based communication service that eliminates barriers between different communication networks, supporting seamless voice and data communications. The service enables connectivity between multiple agencies during major emergencies or cross-border incidents.

Sepura launched its first line of VHF TETRA radios. The radios provide a solution for mission-critical users in challenging conditions such as extensive underground networks and remote expansive indoor environments. Variants of the SCG22 mobile and the hand-portable SC20 TETRA radios make up the VHF solution, operating within 136 – 174 MHz.

The company said that the VHF solution fills a gap in the market for VHF TETRA radios by complementing the reliability, security and mission-critical protocols of TETRA with the powerful audio processing of Sepura’s SC series radios, ensuring crystal clear audio in loud, wet or dusty conditions.

Sepura also introduced a dual-mode version of its SCU3 broadband vehicle device. The upgraded model has a built-in TETRA module, enabling users to combine mission-critical voice with the power and flexibility of data connectivity via LTE networks. The Class 3 TETRA module supports direct mode in the 380 – 473 MHz band, meaning critical communications users in public safety, transport, mining and utilities can benefit from the trusted reliability and audio quality delivered by TETRA, alongside nearly three million other Sepura TETRA users around the world.

Hytera Communications introduced its Hytera Convergence-Native network, which is composed of different modules and integrates with existing network infrastructures. The product unifies the network core and communication platform and provides futureproof open application programming interfaces (APIs) for new service deployment.

The solution is diversified in terms of service access and network infrastructure, allowing legacy professional mobile radio (PMR), 4G/5G by public network sharing or private network construction and ad-hoc for emergency response.

Abiom announced its Lifeline portfolio, which is designed to close the gap and ease the migration between present and future communications technology. Lifeline mission-critical services (MCX) end-to-end solutions consists of the MCX App, LTH-570 rugged handheld LTE device, body camera, gateway and control room solutions. Included within the platform are a variety of smart accessories that seamlessly communicate with the Lifeline MCX app.

The Lifeline solutions portfolio offers critical communications through existing 4G/5G and has capacity to advance in line with technology. The solutions have an easy to use and highly intuitive interface, as well as cross contact to pre-existing narrowband communication systems and users.
