NWSA Completes ANSI ANAB Accreditation Process

The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) announced it successfully completed the required American National Standards Institute (ANSI) National Accreditation Board (ANAB) year two surveillance review process.

ANAB’s audit of NWSA occurs annually as a requirement of its accreditation, with an on-site inspection by ANAB auditors every other year. ANAB requires specific data be submitted on an annual basis and it only grants continued accreditation if all requirements are met.

The year two surveillance review process, led by an ANAB assessment team, ultimately concluded that based on the review of the materials, virtual assessments and random sampling process, NWSA continues to meet all the requirements set forth in International Standards Institute (ISO)/International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 17024, as well as ANAB policies and procedures. ANAB’s decision is significant as it equates to continued accreditation to the ISO/EIC 17024 Standard for NWSA’s Telecommunications Tower Technician I (TTTI) and Telecommunications Tower Technician II (TTTII) certification programs.

“NWSA is excited to have received this positive year two surveillance review affirmation from ANAB regarding our organization’s industry-specific certification programs,” said NWSA Executive Director Duane MacEntee. “Achieving this continued ANSI accreditation is validation that NWSA is the gold-standard for professional trade certification programs offered in the communications infrastructure industry. Today’s news will help NWSA continue to scale our programs among tower workers in the industry.”
