Friday, June 30, 2006 | Comments
In a public notice, the FCC said the 800 MHz band reconfiguration process for National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) channels will start Aug. 1 in the NPSPAC regions assigned to Wave 2. The three-month period during which NPSPAC 800 MHz licensees have the option of negotiating on a voluntary basis will end Oct. 31. The three-month mandatory negotiation period will end Jan. 31, 2007. As previously announced, the FCC will freeze license filings for certain 800 MHz applications for regions being reconfigured.
