Arlington County Buys In-Car Surveillance from Integrian (8/22)
Tuesday, August 22, 2006 | Comments
The Arlington County (Va.) Police Department selected Integrian's Digital Patroller for its patrol fleet. The in-car video surveillance systems will be the first broad deployment of the technology to be used by the department. Integrian, in partnership with Dell, which supplies the back-end servers, was awarded a three-year contract. In addition, agencies falling within the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and the Northern Virginia Cooperative Purchasing Council can directly purchase Digital Patroller systems from the contract. The Arlington County Police Department ordered 38 cameras plus additional access points and docking stations and plans to use a wireless upload process with a wired upload option as a redundant backup system.
