RFID Channels Selected in Europe (9/29)
Friday, September 29, 2006 | Comments
ETSI Technical Group TG34 said voluntary agreement has been secured among radio frequency identification (RFID) manufacturers to restrict the operation of interrogators at 865-868 MHz to only four channels. TG34 members also finalized tests supervised in September at an operational distribution centre in Unna, Germany. RFID manufacturers from Europe and the USA participated in the tests. The tests validated the "sychronization" technique that allows multiple interrogators to transmit simultaneously on the same channel.
