The initiative makes information owned by local agencies using PTS Solutions software more powerful in solving crimes. The companies developed an interface between PTS Solutions-provided systems that are then connected by Pegasus.
“In today’s highly mobile world, fighting crime depends on having good information from other jurisdictions,” said Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd. “PTS Solutions is taking a leadership position to make sure our office can cost-effectively share our information with other agencies, that they can enforce, and to make sure our deputies have access to other agencies’ information, that we can enforce.”
As part of this initiative, PTS Solutions is an active service provider for the Pegasus Program. The program is a free nationwide online information sharing initiative available to local law-enforcement agencies and supported by the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA). The services are made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).
The Interface is provided to PTS clients at no charge and can be installed remotely in just a few hours. PTS offers a product line from CAD to other public-safety software products.
