Construction Company’s Radios Work After Wichita Tornado (5/1/12)
Tuesday, May 01, 2012 | Comments

A local contractor in Wichita, Kan., located all six of his company’s two-way radio chargers and the battery charger in working order following a tornado that struck the city April 13. Some of the radio equipment was buried in mud, soaked in water and slightly banged up, but all of the radios and the charger worked well.

The construction company’s radios are RCA BR950s, bought from Discount Two-Way Radio, the North American RCA distributor of commercial two-way radios and a radio system provider to businesses, nonprofits and governments.
