Racing Radios was named GRAND-AM Road Racing’s exclusive radio communications provider. The multiyear agreement runs through the 2015 season for GRAND-AM and the unified North American sports car series, which begins competition in 2014.

In addition, Racing Radios will also be available to service all teams in the GRAND-AM paddock. Racing Radios is the official two-way radio provider for all NASCAR national and touring series, as well as the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron.

"Racing Radios has a long history with both NASCAR and the ALMS," said Richard Buck, GRAND-AM managing director of competition. "We look to build on this synergy as we take the next steps toward a unified sports car series."

Racing Radios was conceived in 1974 when NASCAR’s competition department approached Diversified Electronics for assistance with racing radio communications. Racing Radios was formed as a division of Diversified Electronics in 1979 and was incorporated 10 years later. The company is based in Atlanta.
