Public-Safety Broadband Revenues to Reach $10.5B (1/9/13)

The total value of the global public-safety broadband network service revenues will reach $10.5 billion in 2013, because of the increasing uptake of mobile broadband technologies into public-safety and emergency response applications, according to new research.

The successful proliferation of commercial mobile broadband networks has spurred public-safety agencies around the globe to adopt the latest mobile broadband technologies in their networks to make them increasingly efficient, a Visiongain report said. With recent developments in wireless broadband technologies and infrastructure, the networks have become more consistent and reliable and have also helped increase the efficiency of public-safety teams by a significant margin.
