Tuesday, November 07, 2006 | Comments
The U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has chosen Nokia to expand its GSM/EDGE network to support INL's efforts to evaluate commercial wireless technology for government applications. As part of the agreement, which expands Nokia's existing relationship as the INL's primary networks vendor, a Nokia system will be installed at the INL's Critical Infrastructure Test Range facility in Idaho, with deliveries taking place in the second half of the year. The INL is a science-based, applied engineering national laboratory dedicated to developing technologies and solutions in nuclear energy, national and homeland security, and science and technology.
