Tuesday, November 14, 2006 | Comments
Bell Industries entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets and assume certain liabilities of SkyTel, a subsidiary of Verizon Communications that provides paging and messaging services. The proposed transaction has been approved by Verizon management and the board of directors of Bell Industries, and the parties expect the transaction to be completed in the next few months. SkyTel is a unit of the former MCI, which was acquired by Verizon earlier this year.
