Christopher Moore, former chief of police at the San Jose (Calif.) Police Department, joined Rivada Networks as senior vice president. Moore served for more than 30 years as a first responder in the public-safety community.

Moore will also join the Rivada board of directors. Moore played a leading role in the effort to secure the 700 MHz D block spectrum and funding for the deployment of a nationwide interoperable public-safety broadband network.

In addition to his first responder experience, Moore also served as a White House fellow at the Department of Justice and was the recipient of a Fulbright Police Research Fellowship in the United Kingdom.
