San Bernardino Deploys Radwin Video Surveillance (8/13/13)
Tuesday, August 13, 2013 | Comments

The city of San Bernardino, Calif., selected Radwin for a major citywide video surveillance deployment spanning 81 square miles. High-capacity point-to-multipoint and point-to-point solutions were deployed in the project.

CelPlan, a leading system integrator, was responsible for project design and implementation.

"Our overriding goal is to enhance residents' safety and reduce crime,” said Michael Eckley, San Bernardino Police Department. “We deployed video cameras in critical junctures and public areas and sought the right technology to transmit video from the cameras back to our control center.”

"The installation was in a challenging RF environment coupled with 4.9 GHz congestion,” said Jasper Bruinzeel, CelPlan. “That's where the unique multiband feature of Radwin’s radios came in handy, enabling us to determine the optimal transmission channel on the spot.”
