iCERT Announces Officers, Board Members

The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) announced new officers and board members.

Chairman is Ellen O’Hara, chairman of the board of Zetron, a JVCKENWOOD company, and Don Brittingham, vice president, public safety policy for Verizon, is iCERT’s vice chairman. Kevin Murray, president and CEO, Mission Critical Partners, is the past chairman.

Treasurer is Mary Boyd, a vice president at West Safety, and Josie Donnelly, a senior vice president at TriTech Software Systems, is secretary.

Also elected to the board of directors were the following industry executives:

• Michael Bernard, 9-1-1/government business development manager, Voiance

• Patrick Flynn, director, homeland/national security programs, Intel Security

• Lynne Houserman, president, safety and security technologies, Comtech

• Michelle Johnson, director, Long Term Evolution (LTE) center of excellence, Harris

• Robert LeGrande, president, The Digital Decision

• Tim Lorello, president and CEO, SecuLore Solutions

• Joe Marx, assistant vice president, federal regulatory, AT&T

• Dan Sawicki, director, applications product strategy, Motorola Solutions

• Henry Unger, president and owner, Pulsiam

“We have a noted, experienced and motivated set of board members at iCERT,” said O’Hara. “I am honored to take on the chairmanship as industry prepares for, and embraces adoption of IP-based emergency calling services; an array of well-established and burgeoning data, imagery and dispatching solutions; and wireless broadband services for public-safety and homeland-security professionals. Our mission will be served quite well by this leadership team and our full membership, and we will build on iCERT’s efforts undertaken over previous years to maintain a unified voice of industry to better serve the public sector leaders who serve the public.”
