Founded in 2015 by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, NAKIT is tasked with ensuring the long-term and conceptual development of state-owned information, communication and technology (ICT) infrastructure. The major work of the agency includes mapping existing information and communication infrastructure of public institutions and their future needs. The result is a unified strategy for the building of innovative and highly secure non-public communications networks to achieve the greatest possible synergy and financial efficiencies.
“NAKIT is in a unique position in terms of creating and operating ICT systems to protect Czech citizens and infrastructure,” said Alan Ilczyszyn, who was appointed NAKIT director in July. “We are pleased to become a TCCA member and look forward to learning from our fellow members and sharing our expertise in critical communications.”
