JVCKENWOOD Donates 10 P25 Radios to Indiana School District

JVCKENWOOD donated 10 portable radios to Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) School District in Indiana. The district's safety personnel will use the radios to ensure that the officers are equipped with public-safety grade communications equipment.

"Hamilton Southeastern Schools serves more than 21,500 students across 21 K-12 buildings,” said Superintendent Allen Bourff. “Establishing a direct line of communications between our administration team and school personnel helps us ensure the safety of our students. When an emergency situation occurs, every second counts, and knowing what is happening in real time allows us to better direct priorities and resources. The donation of the two-way radios from JVCKENWOOD will be put to immediate use and allow our district to maintain consistent, effective and coordinated communications to help keep our schools safe."

The KENWOOD Viking VP5000 portable radios provide Project 25 (P25) communications with first responders.

"As a Hamilton County resident with family that attend HSE schools, I know how important school safety is to the community,” said Tommy Simmons, EF Johnson Technologies regional vice president. “Our team is honored to be in a position to help the Hamilton Southeastern School District when they need it most."

EF Johnson is a division of JVCKENWOOD.
