Hytera Mobilfunk and its partner Mobilis won a tender from Romania’s Ministry of National Defence and signed a frame agreement to deliver thousands of PD565s, including accessories.

Within the next three years, the defense ministry will order up to 8,050 handheld radios to be used at various military support points in Romania.

“This is a fabulous shared success,” said Marco Martinato, VP of sales for Eastern Europe at Hytera Mobilfunk. “So, we are delighted that we were able to convince the defense ministry of the quality and great reliability of our Hytera devices. We see great potential for the market in Romania, and we want to continue growing.”

Key considerations for the ministry in choosing the PD565 were its wide functional scope, excellent voice quality and its good price-to-performance ratio.

The PD565 has a compact design and is convenient to operate. The radio also supports conventional Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) mode and can also be operated in analog mode, making it versatile to use.
