Passaic County was named one of nine communities in New Jersey to receive a grant for the Innovative Challenge Program developed by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) and chose V-COMM as its strategic planning partner.

With V-COMM’s help, Passaic County will develop a needs assessment for the cities of Passaic and Paterson to evaluate building infrastructure and wireless network capabilities to install a high-speed 5G wireless and fiber network in both the commercial and industrial areas of Passaic and Paterson.

V-COMM is Passaic County’s exclusive advisor and expert engineering firm for the evaluation and recommendation of citywide wireless networks, incorporating emerging 5G technologies to further economic development in the county.

“We are very pleased to work with V-COMM, with its extensive experience in the wireless industry,” said Deborah Hoffman, director of economic development for Passaic County. “This needs assessment done by V-COMM will help advance our economic goals for the county.”

“As a New Jersey-based telecommunications engineering firm, we are very excited to utilize the skills and capabilities we have practiced for the last 24 years to help our state progress both economically and wirelessly,” said Dominic Villecco, president and founder of V-COMM. “With 5G just around the corner, we look forward to seeing one of the latest technology 5G networks in the nation right here in our great state.”
